I am cultural anthropologist based in Poland interested in photography as a research method and a source of ethnographic data. Notes From Different Spots is an on-line gallery of photographs (and recently also videos) which I have taken during my travels, mostly to North Africa. My interests include anthropology of tourism, past and contemporary ways of representing Self and Other, Orientalism, theory of photography, origins of mankind, spirituality and Arabic language.
